Cancer Information Service Research Program The CIS Research Program is a collaborative research venture in which investigators partner with the CIS to plan, implement, and disseminate the findings from applied research studies that further the field of health communication, discover and test effective communication approaches to educating the public about cancer, and contribute to the nation's cancer control efforts: The Cancer Information Service Research Program: How the National Cancer Institute Collaborates with Health Communication Researchers Cancer Information Service Research Agenda A Literature Overview was developed to support the Research Agenda and highlight relevant research: CIS Research Agenda: Overview of Relevant Research CancerInfoNet is a cancer education curriculum that is referenced within the CIS Research Agenda: Overview of Relevant Research, and is designed with 2 target audiences in mind—health consumers and health care providers in an underserved area. It was created by the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) Cancer Information Service of New York as part of the NCI’s Bridging Digital Divide Demonstration Projects.
